THE LITTER 1969
In 1969, the band finally signed to a major label. Their third album, Emerge was released on the ABC Records label and became their most successful.[1] It peaked at number 175 on the Billboard 200. However, recording for the album did not include Caplan or Waite. There were heavier rock tracks on the album. The group disbanded in 1972.[1]
The group continued to tour with several different line-ups sporadically thereafter, and released an album of new material in 1998.
In 2020, Tom Murray, with talented new players including Larry Wiegand of Crow, released a Litter album, Future of the Past. Tom “Zippy” Caplan (Distortions and $100 Fine) also plays lead guitar on several tracks.

THE LITTER 1966-67
The Litter was an American psychedelic and garage rock band, formed in 1966 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States.[1] They are best remembered for their 1967 debut single, "Action Woman". The group recorded three albums in the late 1960s before disbanding, but they re-united in 1990, 1992, and again in 1998, when they recorded a new studio album consisting of both old and new material. All of their Minneapolis recorded material was produced by Warren Kendrick, who owned the Scotty and Warick and Hexagon labels.
TNE BATCH
The Minnesota music scene of the 60's was an exciting and vibrant time. Barry Thomas Goldberg and Gary Paulak started their first band, "The Shambles", as teenagers in 1966. That year they had their first recording session at the legendary Dove Studios in Bloomington, Minnesota. Peter Steinberg ("Flight Reaction", Calico Wall) and Dale Menten ("Run, Run, Run", The Gestures), of Candy Floss Productions, were very impressed with Goldberg and Paulak's writing talents and made them partners in the original writing and producing team of Candy Floss Productions. Candy Floss had many regional and national releases. The Batch rose from the ashes of Candy Floss and consisted of Barry Thomas Goldberg, Gary Paulak, Arne Fogel, Jay Lee and Whip Lane. The Batch continued recording many hours worth of material in various Twin Cities' studios but only released one single, "Golden Sun/Hot Summer Nights" (Groove Soup, 1972; Unfortunately, only a handful of these 45s still exist).
The Batch called it quits after years of being on the road touring Mid-America. But these are the raw and vital recordings of a band at the very moment of finding their freedom and independence. This special limited vinyl edition contains priceless rarities for collectors of 60's and early 70's Mid-American Rock 'n' Roll. Some months ago, The Batch released 21 previously unreleased songs through their own HIJ/BECCA label (which we proudly distribute in Europe) in a CD with the title "Transistor". From all those songs their more psychedelic efforts, present in this 11-track limited vinyl edition.

THE ESCAPADES
December 31, 1964: The Escapades play their first job, opening up a concert for Chuck Berry at the St. Paul Armory. The venue is filled up thanks to extensive promotion. The Escapades are introduced as a British band and only Ron talks between songs, speaking in a heavy British accent. The group stays in their dressing room before and after their set, limiting their exposure to the public. The gimmick works and The Escapades are treated like British rock stars including the screaming girls. At the show are two local booking agents, Marsh Edelstein and Dick Shapiro, who immediately want to book the band. The successful debut of the band creates a buzz about the band and after one job the new band from St. Paul finds they are suddenly in high demand. The band turns down all offers to be exclusively booked by one agency and accepts jobs by all of the local booking agents.
